Tammy Emerson

Art Department Instructor
Hagerman Art Gallery Director

Tammy Emerson is the HLGU Art Department Instructor, and the Hagerman Art Gallery Director. Tammy started at HLGU in the Fall of 2022. Previously she resided in the St. Louis and Kansas City areas, where she taught art. She is no stranger to the Hannibal area, as this is where she started her art teaching career over a decade ago.

“I am so grateful, thankful, and blessed that the Lord called me back to this area, as HLGU is like family! It is good to be home again, as this is where my son John, now 19, and daughter Sara, 16, feel is home as well.”

Tammy resides in Palmyra with her daughter Sara Kliewer, who also attends dual-credit classes at HLGU.
